Iran Labour Rights Watch (ILRW) brings together a group of concerned experts (writers, journalists, trade unionists, and community and human
rights activists) and intends by providing accurate information in an objective way, to make the website www.iranlabourwatch.net a reliable
source of news about
the Iranian labour community for the audience abroad.
Hundreds of Iranian workers suffer daily from violations of labour and human rights.
The domestic and foreign media have been so pre-occupied with other developments
in
Iran
and around
the world that they have failed to hear the Iranian workers’ voice and their demands for justice along with their rights at the workplace.
ILRW believes that monitoring the developments of Iran’s labour class
through available means in the country’s official and unofficial media and through workers
representatives and transferring the information and workers
demands to national and international labour organizations in a timely manner, could
play a positive and effective role to draw attention to the concerns and problems of
Iran’s proletarian workers.
Iran Labour Rights Watch truly believes that cooperation and convergence of all labour
rights defenders towards a sincere goal of reviving the labour community’s rights
could and will change the tragic lives of the Iranian workers for the better.
